Police Jurors from Districts 4 announces bids for re-election

Sitting Evangeline Parish Police Juror for District 4, Lamar Johnson, announced his candidacy for re-election.
“I am Lamar Johnson, and my wife is Denise Manuel Johnson,” he said in his announcement. “She is from Jefferson Davis Parish. She is a mother of five, and I’m a father of five. We have 10 children all together. We have about 16 grandkids all totaled, and I’ve got 11 myself.”
Johnson’s announcement continued as follows: “I’ve been in office 12 years now. We’re blacktopped nearly 100 miles of gravel roads. We will have all but a mile to mile-and-a-half done by the time of the election.”
“I’m not afraid to run against anyone. I don’t care who runs, and I invite everybody to run. That’s everybody’s personal right to have a difference of opinion on politics.”
“I would encourage and ask everybody to vote for me. Thank you.”
